The Sand-Sifter of Marvanthe.

Fourteen-year-old Mahesh leaves the big sea fishing to the big boys. But, he has learnt to coax the sea of its bounty from the edge of the beach at Marvanthe. And sift the sand searching for crabs left behind by the rolling waves. This display of skill isn’t for commercial transaction, but his version of finishing school and flying kites. Besides, it being a great past-time, it adds a little crustacean flesh to his dinner.
